Rheem residential lineup

Rheem Gas Furnaces

Dependable Rheem gas heat, from solid 80% AFUE workhorses to modulating high-efficiency furnaces up to 98% AFUE — installed with a combustion safety check on every job.

Why Rheem gas furnaces?

Gas heat done right, from the flue to the finish

Rheem's residential gas furnaces run from dependable 80% AFUE models to condensing furnaces that turn up to 98% of every fuel dollar into heat. Between those ends sit two-stage and modulating options with variable-speed blowers that run quieter, hold temperatures steadier, and pair beautifully with a Rheem AC or heat pump.

A furnace is also a combustion appliance, which is why our installs include correct venting, gas-line work to code, and a combustion safety check — the same check we perform on every heating service visit. Union-trained, NATE-certified, and family-owned since 1984.

  • Up to 98% AFUE

High-efficiency condensing Rheem furnaces waste almost nothing up the flue — a meaningful difference on winter gas bills versus an aging 80% unit.

  • Steadier, quieter heat

Two-stage and modulating burners with variable-speed blowers run longer and gentler, evening out the hot-and-cold swings of old single-stage furnaces.

  • Matched-system ready

Rheem furnaces pair with Rheem air conditioners and heat pumps — including dual-fuel setups — so heating and cooling work together as one system.

  • Safety-first install

Combustion analysis, correct venting, and code-compliant gas and condensate work on every install. We pull the required permits and manage inspections.

The lineup

Gas Furnaces tiers, explained simply

We'll recommend the tier that fits your home and budget — never a one-size-fits-all upsell.

  • Prestige high-efficiency furnaces

    Up to 98% AFUE

    Modulating, condensing

Modulating burners and variable-speed blowers deliver Rheem's steadiest, most efficient gas heat — the tier to price if you plan to stay put.

  • Classic Plus mid-tier furnaces

    High-efficiency options

    Two-stage

Two-stage heat with quieter operation and better temperature control than single-stage equipment, at a mid-range price.

  • Classic Series furnaces

    80%+ AFUE

    Single-stage

Proven, budget-friendly gas heat. Where ductwork and venting allow, we'll also show you what stepping up to a condensing model saves.

AFUE ranges follow Rheem's published residential furnace lineup and vary by model and configuration. Final equipment, sizing, and pricing are confirmed at a free in-home estimate. Depending on the system, you may also qualify for Ameren Missouri or Spire rebates, and financing options are available.

Common questions

Rheem Gas Furnaces: quick answers

Often, yes — especially if you're in the home long-term. A condensing furnace keeps nearly every fuel dollar as heat, but it also needs PVC venting and a condensate drain. We price both paths at the estimate so the payback math is yours to judge, not ours to assert.

A single-stage furnace is either full-blast or off. Two-stage adds a lower setting it can cruise on, and modulating furnaces adjust output continuously in small steps. More stages mean longer, gentler cycles — steadier temperatures, quieter operation, and better efficiency.

Yes. On the jobs we install, we pull the required permit and manage the inspection, and every install includes a combustion safety check, correct venting, and gas-line work to code — performed by NATE-certified, Local 36 union-trained technicians.

Usually, but matching matters: the blower and coil have to suit both systems for either to hit its rated efficiency. We evaluate what you have and tell you honestly whether keeping the existing AC makes sense or costs you more than it saves.
